Smart city drives the improvement of overall solutions for smart transportation
With the vigorous promotion of smart city construction, smart transportation, smart healthcare, smart security, smart energy, etc. have all received great attention. Urban construction prioritizes transportation, and smart transportation has become an important driving force for economic development. It is more integrated into various fields of social life, changing people's way of life and work. In the wave of smart city construction, smart transportation plays an indispensable role. The following is an article by Shao Yuan, the director of the Shenzhen Urban Transportation Planning and Design Research Center (Intelligent Institute), titled "Smart Transportation Integrated Solution for Future Cities | Creating a '4C City'".
Since its establishment 20 years ago, Shenzhen Transportation Center has been continuously committed to the research and application of transportation models and big data, and has carried out planning and design of urban transportation and intelligent transportation. In recent years, we have undergone a comprehensive transformation from traditional planning and design research institutions to providers of complete urban transportation solutions. Today, we are presenting our preliminary thoughts on the overall plan for smart transportation in future cities. Divided into two parts for introduction, the first part is the outlook for future smart cities and smart transportation, and the second part is preliminary thinking.
From the perspective of the entire development process of smart transportation, it can be divided into three stages of development. In the 1.0 stage, we focused on the development of individual products and the design of functional applications. The 2.0 stage focuses on the interconnectivity of big data and breaking down data barriers. The latest stage we have entered is the 3.0 phase of the new smart city, which is a development stage of a new smart city guided by the basic service of the Internet of Things, emphasizing public participation and government enterprise cooperation.
